Bosch Dishwasher Install Fascia Trim
Sure enough when I removed the handle trim, one of the plastic detents cracked. Murphy's Law. The plastic door handle is located at the top of the door. Dishwashers produce heat; heat rises; heat vents; plastic gets brittle when exposed to temperature fluctuations. Time required to replace the parts was fast; maybe 15 - 20 minutes cover to cover.

A trim strip is provided for a dishwasher to cover the gap between the dishwasher and the adjacent cabinets. The trim strip includes an elongated body portion having opposite forward and rearward edges, and a pair of spaced apart arms extending from the body portion to slidably mount onto the tub flange of the dishwasher. The body portion is then screwed to the sides of the cabinets so as to cover the gap between an adjacent cabinet and the dishwasher and securely mount the dishwasher within the cabinet opening.
